Films
We show a programme of 10 movies per year – every month except July, August and December.
We started our first full season in February 2010.
We hope that our programme pleases as many tastes as possible and includes a mixture of:
- recent blockbusters;
- old classics;
- independent movies;
- foreign language films;
- comedies;
- and other films selected by our audience.
During 2010, we screened our first two
children's movies and are currently assessing the demand for such regular screenings.
The screenings take place at The Institute, Adderbury’s village hall. Please click here to see a map showing where The Institute is located.
We offer membership schemes for those wishing to attend regularly, and also sell tickets in advance for those wishing to attend occasionally.Tickets can be booked in advance by contacting Helena Scott at boxoffice@adderburycineclub.org.uk or 01295 810708.
We offer reasonable membership and ticket prices.
Our venue has now a permanent license allowing us to sell alcohol, in addition to other refreshments, before and after each film. Doors open 30 minutes before the film starts to offer the audience the opportunity to socialise and mingle. We aim to organise informal, friendly and interesting shows.
True to the ACC mission to be a resource for the whole community, we have financed the installation of a loop system at the Institute, which has allowed those with hearing aids to fully benefit from our programme of films.
